Formula for Successful Golf Operations Revealed in new Book by Industry Strategist James J. Keegan

Formula for Successful Golf Operations Revealed in new Book by Industry Strategist James J. Keegan

Castle Rock, Colo. (Vocus) June 23, 2010 –

Golf industry insider James J. Keegan has applied 20 years of creating successful strategic solutions to his new book “The Business of Golf – What Are You Thinking?,” due to be released in June.

Keegan, the most recognized authority on the business of golf today, reveals his ground-breaking methods, which are based on hard data and extensive field experience that has covered more than 35 countries around the world.

Encompassing virtually every aspect of strategic, tactical and operational practices involving golf courses, Keegan sheds light on proven solutions for success, as well as common mistakes that lead to failure. Skilled at interpreting what most influences and motivates golf consumers, Keegan presents a specific outline for attracting and retaining their business.

The visionary behind Golf Convergence, Inc., the golf industry benchmark for strategic applications, Keegan illustrates in the book how “golf is far more than a quiet, outdoor recreational pursuit.”

“It is a challenging business in a competitive and unique working environment with many uncontrollable and uncontrollable factors adversely the golf course’s net income,” writes Keegan, a former certified public accountant, who holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University and Masters in business from the University of Michigan. “This book applies to anyone who has ever said, ‘Someday I’d like to run my own golf course.’”

To maximize financial return on a golf course, Keegan developed the Golf Convergence WIN™ (What’s Important Now) formula, an eight-step process that is detailed in his new book. It emphasizes the importance of strategic planning, by which a golf course’s vision can become realized. Facilities that have adopted this formula have increased EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) by 12 percent of gross revenue.

“Our methodology is highly successful,” Keegan said. “The finest tactical plans without a talented team are meaningless. It takes all three components — strategic vision, tactical planning and operational execution — to be successful in maximizing revenue, increasing operational efficiency and enhancing customer service.”

To order an advance copy of “The Business of Golf – What Are You Thinking?” visit http://www.golfconvergence.com or http://www.amazon.com. Additional information is available on the company’s website, Twitter/golfconvergence, Facebook and by calling (303) 283-8880.

Golf Realty Network Launches Online Golf Property Listing Guide

Golf Realty Network Launches Online Golf Property Listing Guide

Sample E-Zine listing

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 18, 2011

Golf Realty Network, a Phoenix-based marketing company that has partnered with the Southwest Section PGA to connect golfers and golf enthusiasts with agents who specialize in golf real estate, launched a first-of-its-kind online golf property listing guide called “Golf Properties of the Southwest”.

This digital E-Zine will feature Arizona golf properties and communities in the Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff areas, as well as Las Vegas golf properties in Southern Nevada. It is free to view and will be showcased on the Golf Realty Network site at http://www.theGolfRealtyNetwork.com.

“Because buyers and sellers now do most of their home searches through the internet, we strive to be the best resource for finding that perfect home in a golf community by foregoing the traditional print listing guide and going with a digital version online,” said Jane Andersen, co-owner of Golf Realty Network.

The easy-to-use digital E-Zine is the quickest way for buyers to seek out golf properties, offering options to search by city, state, selected zones, and ultimately by specific golf course communities.

Each individual listing will feature detailed specifics about each property, as well as information about the surrounding golf course and community, including detailed color photos and links to the individual course or golf community website so buyers can get more detailed information without any additional searching.

“There are numerous benefits for the REALTOR and our prospective clients,” said Al Andersen, co-owner of the Golf Realty Network. “We save the REALTORS money by eliminating a print version, their properties can be seen and marketed worldwide and it’s easy for potential clients to search for golf properties because it reads like a newspaper, not a traditional flip book.”

The price to list a property in “Golf Properties of the Southwest” is $ 99 per listing per month, and open to agents from any brokerage, with the first month free of charge. Active GRN member agents can list as many properties as they would like free of charge during their first year of membership.

“Our main goal is to connect buyers looking for golf properties with agents who specialize in golf real estate and really know the golf market,” Jane Andersen said. “Golf Properties of the Southwest” is a fantastic tool to help make that connection.”

Founded in March of 2011 by real estate agents Al and Jane Andersen, Golf Realty Network is a proud sponsor of the Southwest Section PGA and their on-line reservation system, TheTeeTimeStore.com.

GRN is the exclusive real estate source for the Southwest Section PGA and its 390 public and private courses throughout Arizona and Southern Nevada. GRN is comprised of top residential real estate agents from a variety of real estate brokerages who specialize in golf real estate, offering a comprehensive resource for prospective home buyers and sellers interested in purchasing or selling a golf property.
